CBSE-i Training Program in Abu Dhabi
The Inauguration of the 3rd CBSE – i teacher empowerment programme organized by BharatiyaVidyaBhavan, Middle East, was inaugurated at the Indian Social and Cultural Center, Abu Dhabi on 21st April. H.E. Mr. M.K. Lokesh, Ambassador of India to the UAE was the chief guest. During his address to the august gathering, his Excellency emphasized the need of enquiry based learning which he felt was very important for future citizens. Mr. Vineet Joshi, I.A.S, Chairman, CBSE was the guest of honor. In his inaugural address, Mr. Joshi stressed the importance, role and initiatives of CBSE in improving the teaching and learning process in CBSE schools and the relevance of the CBSE-i curriculum in a changing world. Dr. SadhanaParashar, Director – CBSE-i (Training), in her keynote address, brought out the importance of the CBSE-i curriculum which she felt would surely make students and teachers engage in collaborative learning. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Shermary, CEO of H.H. Sheikh SaeedSaif Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan graced the occasion with his presence. Other dignitaries and invitees were present for the inaugural function. Mr. SoorajRamachandran, Venue Director and Director of Bhavan’s Middle East welcomed the gathering. Mr. Radhakrishnan, Principal, Sharjah Indian School and convenor of the Gulf Council of the UAE Chapter felicitated all the delegates. Mr. RamachandranMenon , Chairman, Bhavan’s Middle East, was the guiding light behind this event. The formal inaugural programme was brought to a close with the vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. DivyaRamachandran, Director, Bhavan’s Training Center.
